Tesla’s biggest rival is here, BEFORE TESLA!

Tesla has achieved many milestones over the years and has even created many. Tesla, in addition to being the world’s largest electric vehicle manufacturer, also became the world’s most valuable automaker just a few years ago, ousting Toyota from its position. Doing this was no easy task. With all of this going on and Tesla bringing new technology and revolutions to the table day in and day out, it was assumed that it was hard to stop the American automaker. However, Tesla has now found a rival, rather its biggest rival. And to make it even more exciting, this rival has already entered India, long before Tesla (it is still questionable if Tesla will come to India). So who is this rival and what is he doing in India? Everything in this article.

Who is Tesla’s biggest rival in 2022?

Tesla Rival

If you don’t know, it’s the Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD. This brand has surpassed Tesla in terms of ‘total sales in the first half of 2022’. Tesla sold 564,743 units during this period, while BYD sold 638,157 units during the same period. However, one thing to note here is that of these 638,157 units sold by BYD, 314,638 were plug-in hybrids. So is it really a win-win situation for BYD considering the fact that Tesla is an electric vehicle manufacturer? You think about it and tell us.

Anyway, the important thing to note here is that BYD is already in India. Until some time ago, the brand sold its E6 to commercial buyers. Recently, however, the brand has also opened its sales for private buyers. BYD could launch its next Atto 3 during Auto Expo 2023. It is a five-seater SUV with a claimed range of 420 km. It would be competing with cars like Tata Nexon EV Max, Hyundai Kona EV and MG ZS EV once launched. What do you think should be the perfect price for this car? Let us know in the comments.
