The new AKT-VOGEPRO 300DS is an adventure motorcycle that is ideal for long-distance trips in a perfect mix with off-road routes, without losing its everyday utility. With its outstanding Bosch electronic injection technology, ABS brakes, Euro 4 and LED lights, it will be available to drive safer, save fuel and produce fewer emissions.
AKT provided Caracol Radio with a model to carry out the relevant road tests and drive it for a few days to see what the performance of this motorcycle is. Below we tell you our impressions and conclusions.
Driving test
The first impression of the Vodge 300DS is that it is a sturdy motorcycle due to the fairing that gives it a more aerodynamic look considering that it is an adventure motorcycle in this segment, it is not a vehicle that is designed for such rough terrain.
The first moments of riding feel very pleasant, it is a motorcycle that is very easy to get on, the riding position is very comfortable and is very suitable for long rides. The accelerator pedal responds very well and the 25 hp can be felt at all times.
Thanks to the front suspension with large travel, small bumps in the city are often not noticeable and the braking effect is very powerful, so that there is a feeling of safety at all times.
The special thing about this motorcycle, however, is the lighting: the LED headlight illuminates everything around it and on very dark roads there is no need to switch on the high beam. It should be explained that the motorcycle has a gear ratio of 11.0:1, so you have to fill up with extra gasoline.
Technical specifications
- Performance: The Vodge 300DS from AKT has a 4-stroke single-cylinder engine and has an output of 25.5 hp. In addition, it has double overhead camshafts, 4 valves, liquid cooling and a 6-speed gearbox.
- Rims: These are Cordial brand radial tires, 17 rims on both sides and feature two 300mm discs at the front, two ABS pistons and 220mm discs at the rear with an ABS piston.
- Speedometer: This motorcycle features a fully digital LCD instrument panel with temperature, gear, engine warning light, ABS, RPM, fuel level, time and trip displays.
- Scissor: It features a completely new scissor that provides greater rigidity to the structure of the motorcycle.
The current price of the Vodge 300DS is 18,990,000 Colombian pesos and it is available in gray with green or black with red.
