According to official information on the Texas Lottery website, the most recent Powerball draw last Saturday, January 28, produced two new millionaires, one winning $2,000,000 and the other winning $1,000,000.
The numbers that came out in the draw were 2-18-23-27-47. Powerball was 15 and Power Play was 4. No one hit the $572,000,000 jackpot, so it has now increased to $613,000,000. The next draw is this Monday, 30 January.
The $2,000,000 winning ticket was purchased at a 7-Eleven store located at 1001 Willow Spring Street in Killeen, Texas. This person matched the number five and the power play, but not the powerball number. Whereas whoever won a million matched all five numbers but did not play the power play.
In addition to these lucky people, three people won $50,000 by guessing four numbers and the Powerball. Besides him, two more people won $200,000 by guessing four numbers and playing Powerball plus they played the power play.
How is Powerball played?
Jackpots are won when players match five numbers from a total of 69 options. They must also guess an additional number, the Powerball, which they must choose between 1 and 26.
By choosing Power Play for $1 more per spin, players can multiply their non-jackpot winnings by two, three, four, five or 10 times.
The prize for a Power Play Match Five (5+0) is set at $2,000,000, regardless of the number of Power Plays selected. All other non-grand prizes will be multiplied by the selected Power Play number. *The 10X Power Play Multiplier is available for drawings where the initially announced annual grand prize money is $150 million or less.
Draws are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
