A week after his major league debut, Dominguez gave the Yankees a 2-0 lead with a two-run home run in the second inning off Colin Rea. The 20-year-old became the youngest since at least 1901 to hit four home runs in his first seven games.
Dominican Willy Adames tied the score in the fourth inning with a two-run home run off Dominican Luis Severino, who left an inning later because of a left-side injury.
Venezuelan Andruw Monasterio hit a double to start the eighth inning against Dominican Jhony Brito (6-7). Contreras singled off Nicaraguan Jonathan Loaisiga to bring the game to 3-2, and Dominican Carlos Santana added an RBI single.
