According to a ranking published in, three of the best universities in the UK are in London The times. The Good University Guide 2024 evaluated a total of 131 universities in terms of their performance, research results and student satisfaction. The travel guide, which is celebrating its 30th edition this year, awarded first place the University of St Andrews, Scotland and which has moved up one place from last year’s list.
The Oxford University which took first place last year, took second place, followed by University of Cambridge, which claimed third place. The UK is a leading country in higher education and its centers consistently rank at the top of the top ten universities in the world.
The London School of Economics reached fourth place, while the Imperial College London He took fifth place. He University College London (UCL) rose one place to sixth place this year and was also named the best university of the year. The guide cited world-leading research from the UCL, the unbeatable perspectives it offers its graduates and the commitment to sustainability are some of the reasons for its success. He also described the university as “a powerhouse in British education”.
