The ten countries with the largest migratory flow in the continent will present a series of proposals to the president of the United States, Joe Biden, to address and provide solutions to the phenomenon in the region.
Today, during a meeting of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador with part of his cabinet and the governors of the southeastern part of the country, it was detailed that at the proposal of Mexico, in a couple of weeks the foreign Ministers of ten countries with the greatest speed will meet to work on the proposals, which the president of Mexico will deliver to Biden.
This was announced in a short interview after the meeting held at the National Palace with the governor of Oaxaca, Salomón Jara.
“We talked about the issue of migrants, what we need to do to have more order on this issue. It was agreed to have a meeting with the foreign ministers from the ten countries where there are the most migrants, such as Guatemala, Honduras, Venezuela, Cuba, in short, these countries where there are the most migrants to present. to President Biden a proposal to be “It works for the chancellery.”
The Oaxacan president indicated that this meeting of foreign ministers will take place almost within 15 days in our country, “so that during the next visit of the president (López Obrador) to the United States, the proposal will be announced.”
Jara considers that Washington should support the resources to address the areas where the high migration north has occurred.
In our country, he said, the states where the flows are taking place are working in a coordinated way so that these trips take place in an orderly manner.
