The 10 most stolen cars in Florida

Here’s another reason why car insurance is sky-high. You might think that stealing a car isn’t easy these days, but when I look at the number of vehicles stolen in recent years, I realize that’s not the case. Since we are talking about stolen cars, I will tell you which are the most common stolen cars in Florida.

The National Insurance Crime Bureau has compiled a list that shows us which vehicles criminals in Florida prefer to steal. I have always known that in my home country, cars are stolen and taken to other states or dismantled and sold as spare parts. I can imagine that they do something like that here too. Oh, and thieves don’t care about the year of the car they’re trying to steal. They also take them when they are 10 years old.

What surprised me the most about this list were two things. The Nissan Altima appears first among the 10 favorites to steal, in fact it is the third favorite. I have one, now it belongs to my teenage daughter and I wouldn’t buy it again. There were problems with the transmission and other details that left a bad taste in my mouth. But for now and as long as my daughter is good on the road, it’s good to have her.

There is a catastrophic difference of more than double between the first and second car stolen in Florida. The nation’s top stolen vehicle last year was a full-size Chevy pickup. 49,903 of these trucks were stolen last year, The most stolen model is the 2004 year and as it should be because these trucks don’t have the same technology as today and you can still find them between $7,000 and $10,000 even if they have traveled more than 200,000 miles.
