The 34th Business Meeting in the Pyrenees will be faced with talent and courage to lead projects

The 34th Business Meeting in the Pyrenees will focus the debate on talent and value as essential tools for companies, and especially leaders, to face the challenges of the new work scenario.

This was reported by Crèdit Andorrà, sponsor of the event, in a statement after the press conference of the presentation held this Wednesday at the headquarters of the Andorran bank.

La Trobada, which is one of the reference economic conferences in Catalonia, will take place on June 8 and 9 in La Seu d’Urgell (Lleida) and is called ‘Today’s leaders: talent and courage’.

The event will also give importance to the companies in the territory with the aim of participants learning about the experience and success stories of business.

The president of Trobada Biznis, Josep Serveto, pointed out that companies, and especially leaders, must have the “capacity and ability” to manage and retain talent in their organizations.

In addition, he considered that they must “brave risks and lead” successful business projects.

Serveto stated that he expects to gather more than 600 participants and detailed that the number of ‘sponsors’ has kept the upward trend, with a growth close to 30% and that it has reached 70 collaborating companies.

Of the total sponsors and godparents, 16 are from Andorra and there are 7 more than last year.

On the other hand, the statement emphasizes that the organization also wants to make a commitment to give visibility and opportunities to young talent, encouraging the presence of entrepreneurs under 35 years old.

For his part, the CEO of Crèdit Andorrà, Xavier Cornella, expressed the need to have “the ability to visualize and anticipate” future events, motivate and generate enthusiasm.

Cornella also referred to Andorra and especially the value and talent of the business community to reinvent itself and adapt to the changes the country has experienced.

On June 8, the Meeting will start with the IBEX Table: ‘The challenge of leading the global market’, with the president of Fluidra, Eloi Planes, and the president and CEO of AENA, Maurici Lucena.

Afterwards, Roc Roi’s CEO, Lluís Rabaneda, will present his experience in a round table; CEO of Laumont, Jordi Serentill; CEO of Farinera Roca, Lot Roca; and La Boscana restaurant chef, Joel Castanyé, and writer and consultant for different companies, Margarita Álvarez, will close the day with a conference.

The 9th will start with the round table ‘Economic prospects: slowing or accelerating growth’, with the professor of financial economics at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), Oriol Amat, and the doctor of economics and investment manager, Daniel Lacalle.

This debate will be led by start-ups and digital and artificial intelligence projects, with the co-founder and CEO of Zeleros, David Pistoni; co-founder and CSO of Onalabs, Xavier Muñoz; CEO of Liux and AUARA, Antonio Espinosa; the founder and CEO of Venvirotech, Noelia Márquez; and co-founder and CEO of Woodea, Octavi Uyá.

After that, the director of Infojobs, Gemma Sorigué; CEO and co-owner of Munich Sports, Xavier Berneda; and CEO Enrique Tomás, Enrique Tomás.

The conference ‘Central Bank and financial stability: the consequences of the fight against inflation’ will be held as a closing ceremony, with the economist and executive director of BBVA, José Manuel González-Páramo.
