Someone could lose millions of dollars just by not checking the winning lottery ticket that is about to expire. And it happened that the Lotto Max ticket game won $70 million Canadian dollars (about $51.3 million dollars), but no one cashed it.
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) says the ticket was purchased on June 28.
This means that the winning ticket will expire on June 28, 2023, unless the owner shows up before that date and collects his million dollar prize.
The ticket was purchased in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada, as reported in the Daily Hive.
“OLG has provided very detailed information on this winning ticket. However, since the lottery ticket was purchased from a vendor, we do not know the identity of the person or group that purchased the ticket,” the corporation explained.
The winning numbers for the Lotto Max draw on June 28, 2022 were: 8, 19, 22, 41, 42, 46, 47, and a bonus number of 10.
To verify if the Lotto Max ticket is a winner, players must enter the OLG app or they can go to the verification machine in authorized stores.
