Four children, all members of the same family, were walking as usual in Medellín-Bogotá to go to the rural school La Josefina when an accident happened in San Luis, in Antioquia, which cost the lives of two of them. Microsleep would have been the cause of the tragedy.

The truck that hit the children was driven by a 48-year-old and covered the route Bogotá-Medellín. The authorities ruled that the incident was due to a mechanical failure of the engine.
