The “Cecilio Acosta” SBU, located in the Ciudad Miranda de Charalve Urbanization of the State of Miranda, is being renovated by the Cristóbal Rojas Municipal Mayor’s Office in Valles del Tuy and the Military Community Brigades for Education (Bricomiles).
During an inspection of the works, the mayor of Cristóbal Rojas Municipality, Humberto Marte Tejada, together with management staff and community leaders, informed on Wednesday – that the first computer module with 40 computer equipment, internet service and free Wi-Fi – Fi, so teens can do their homework.
“All the schools in the Cristóbal Rojas municipality will have laboratories for research, which will be coordinated and supervised by our teachers. We have committed ourselves to the scientific, technological and educational development in the city of Charalve for progress and the future”, he Said.
Cecilio Acosta High School has an enrollment of 587 students, 1st through 5th year of diverse education.
The mayor proposed that six laboratories be enabled in other precincts of the Ciudad Miranda urban planning.
“We have assumed the development of science, technology and education in Charalve to preserve history and culture, in addition to guaranteeing public spaces for family gatherings,” Marte Tejada promised.
Restoration work at Cecilio Acosta
At Cecilio Acosta High School in Ciudad Miranda, classrooms, restrooms, library, reception, among other places, are being renovated.
Mayor Humberto Marte Tejada confirmed the refurbishing of 4,500 square meters of façade, whose work has been considered in the plans for the attention, equipment and maintenance of the educational infrastructure of the municipal government.
He explained that a comprehensive cleaning and maintenance campaign was carried out in all areas to optimize this educational center for 587 high school students and more than 20 teachers.
They go to 48 more schools
Marte Tejada estimated that over the next 24 months, 48 educational institutions would be comprehensively rehabilitated, including: Francisco Tosta García High School, Ramon Vegas UEN and Las Brisas Parish’s Andres Bello High School.
He stressed that the municipal government is integrating efforts with the national government to optimize education services in the Las Brisas and Charalve parishes, whose cities are developing the restoration and beautification of various educational establishments.
“In the coming forty days we plan to deliver the campuses: Ramon Vegas, Argelia Laya, Generalissimo Francisco de Miranda and Cecilio Acosta, whose institutions will be optimal places to prepare the seeds of the Motherland,” he said.
He instructed to equip all the kitchens of educational institutions with utensils, equipments and other material, so that mothers, processors and cooks have all the means to prepare food for the students.
Fedes Ocumare del Tuy will contribute to the schools
The mayor of the Tomas Lander municipality in Valles del Tuy, Dayana Báez, reported that a short-term recovery plan would be implemented in the educational establishments of Ocumare del Tuy.
The project will be developed within the framework of the focus on the infrastructure of school institutions by representatives of the Foundation for Educational Buildings and Endowments (FEDE) of the State of Miranda, Bricomiles and employees of the Mayor’s Office.
During a meeting – this Wednesday – in the conference room of the municipal office, Baez stressed that the aim is to clarify between the two organizations a short-term response to schools that do not present much complexity.
“It will then progress to a long-term plan with the institutions with the most impact on its structure and that merit more investment. We aim to attend to the infrastructure of schools and high schools that need it,” he said.
Also present at the meeting were: Alan Ermiz, secretary general of the city government; State Coordinator of FEDES, Jhonny Pérez, in the company of Johana Contreras; Municipal Engineer Alexandra Celis and Director of Education, Sharina Rondon.
