The Grand Lodge of Chile, the Grand Lodge of Women, and the Mixed Grand Lodge will hold the fifth edition of the Fraternitas de la Repblica this Saturday, September 9th.
“Understanding in peace and justice” is the message that Chilean Freemasonry proposes in the fifth edition of Fraternitas de la Repblica, a republican, secular, and democratic ceremony in which the institution invites citizens and the highest political authorities of the country to reflect on the nation we want to build.
The event, as always, will take place this Saturday, September 9th, at 11:00 a.m. in the Grand Temple of the Grand Lodge of Chile. It will bring together various government agencies, including the National Congress, the armed forces and law enforcement agencies, trade unions and union leaders, high academic authorities, representatives of the judiciary, and firefighters, among others.
“Three institutions with ethical goals, the Grand Lodge of Chile, the Mixed Grand Lodge, and the Grand Lodge of Women, have also agreed this year to carry out an act in which virtue and ethics are at the heart of the anniversaries.”They must do so, United always, the fatherland and its children, as well as those who came to our republic in search of a better life,” said the Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Chile, Sebastián Jans Pérez.
With this in mind, Jans added: ““We are convinced that, given the abundance of different assessments, interpretations, or coherent positions, the importance of ethical construction as a reference point in our communication between different people and groups is fundamental.”
Authorities were among those at the event The President of the Senate, Juan Antonio Coloma Correa, will be present, as will the Minister Secretary General of the Presidency, lvaro Elizalde Soto; the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Jeannette Jara Román; the Mining Minister, Aurora Williams Baussa; the President of the Liberal Party, Vlado Mirosevic Verdugo; the Secretary General of the National Renewal, Diego Schalper Seplveda; the policies of various political parties; and conventional components.
As in the 2022 version, Fraternitas de la Repblica is convened by the Grand Lodge of Chile, the Grand Women’s Lodge of Chile, led by Grand Master Soledad Torres Castro, in addition to the Mixed Grand Lodge of Chile, led by Grand Teacher Margarita Carvajal Salinas.
