City of Juárez.- As part of the government report, municipal president Cruz Pérez Cuéllar sent a message to the people of Juárez.
He assured that two years ago he committed himself to the people of Juárez and the people for him by voting for him in the elections.
He pointed out that it was hard work that has been progressing gradually since taking on a significant delay.
Perez Cuéllar assured that so far no loans or debts have been requested for the works in the city and that they are working with their own budget.
“The city is not in debt, the future of Juárez is not in debt,” emphasized Pérez Cuellar.
Another issue raised in his speech was garbage collection and the shortcomings of the PASA company.
He assured that it was a constant complaint throughout the city and that he was told where he was going.
However, their strategy was not confrontational, as a conflict with the PASA company could have resulted in even greater chaos than it already was.
Therefore, legal action was taken and the garbage collection concession was given up and the best possible project was ultimately awarded to four companies.
“A single company should never have been allowed to collect garbage, this monopoly should never have been allowed,” emphasized the mayor.
He assured that garbage service in the city will be 100 percent operational in less than a month.
On the subject of security, he highlighted successes in reducing homicides and car thefts and highlighted the arrest of more than two thousand criminals wanted for a crime.
He congratulated all the agents who risk their lives every day to ensure the safety and peace of the people of Juárez.
In the last part of his term in office, he thanked his work team and reminded them that the city belongs to everyone and everyone has to do their part.
“The change continues and with it the transformation, because together and united we will transform Juárez,” concluded the mayor of Juárez.
