The town of Magaz de Pisuerga does not trust its industrial estate, which has large blocks and road connections, to be the home of a Chinese multinational in the near future, which is visiting the accommodation in Castilla y Leon (also in the country of Galicia. and Portugal), to erect auxiliary factories for automobiles with an investment of 150 million Europeans and the creation of 700 anal directors. Magaz de Pisuerga, also recognized by members of the regional government, has its options as the industrial estate of Burgos de Villalonquéjar.
However, a Chinese multinational delegation made up of 12 members, as well as intermediate technicians, recently visited the mentioned industrial area of Cerrato, as the mayor of Magaz de Pisuerga, Patricia Pérez, confirmed to Diario Palentino. “They were received by the representatives of the city and the Junta de Castella y Leon, as well as the technicians of the infrastructure. In this sense we wanted to be prudent because the situation demanded it. The visit was limited to getting to know the ins and outs of the structures, services and facilities offered by our industrial estate. Due to access, if the project is carried out in Magaz, it would occupy more or less 20 percent of the entire polygon,” he explained.
The objective of the Asian company – to produce aluminum wheels – was to distribute the production of this new factory between its customers in the Iberian Peninsula and North Africa.
The board, through the Institute of Business Competitiveness (ICE), is in charge of this trade space, “one of the most recent in Castilla y Leon”, as the Minister of Economy, Carlos Fernández, defended at the time. in the act of delivery of the same.
This industrial land (see image) has prepared 130 plots with a total area of 837,546 m2, of which 495,280 m2 of industrial land has been allocated. Another unit is to be developed with another 54 plots that occupy 142,320 square meters. The rest was intended for trips and endowments.
The price of land -an average of 15.74 European coins per square meter is already a support to attract companies.
“At the moment, we do not know the plan that the multinationals have made and logically I hope that we will be the beneficiaries, but beyond this plan we would like to say that Magaz de Pisuerga is an industrial estate that is attractive to all parties and companies of different types and sizes. In fact, during this legislature that we up to 15 proposals can be developed in it”, acknowledged the mayor of Magaz de Pisuerga, Patricia Pérez, who also emphasized that “the attraction of Magaz is the industrial estate that is also located in the full Atlantic Corridor and in the first services such as treatment plants and the ability to renew energy”.
