Last month, Hero MotoCorp suffered a major setback in motorcycle sales. In November, Bajaj became the largest seller of bikes (including domestic sales and exports), surpassing Auto Hero MotoCorp. It is to be noted that the sales of both the companies have decreased as compared to November last year. So let’s find out how many bikes a company has sold.
Bajaj Auto registered sales of 338,473 units in November 2021. This is 12 percent less than in November last year. As of November 2020, the company had sold 384,993 units. On the other hand, if we talk about Hero MotoCorp, the country’s largest two-wheeler company sold a total of 329,185 motorcycles last month. These figures include domestic sales and exports.
Hero MotoCorp saw a 39 percent drop in total motorcycle sales in November 2021. In the same month last year, the company sold 5 lakh 41 thousand 438 units. However, it is rare for Bajaj Auto to surpass Hero MotoCorp in overall motorcycle sales.

Export sales have done wonders for Bajaj Auto
Bajaj Auto has received the most support from the export market. Despite a two per cent drop in exports, Bajaj Auto gets more than half of its motorcycle sales from the international market. The company has exported 193,520 motorcycles to overseas markets and sold 144,953 units in the domestic market. Bajaj Auto currently sells its motorcycles in about 70 countries around the world. However, Latin America and Africa are among the major international markets for Bajaj Auto.
