The Government of Veracruz, the Ministry of Health, the Health Services of Veracruz (SESVER), the H. City Council of Tuxpan and the Municipal DIF inaugurated a Comprehensive Health Day this Saturday morning.
This event will take place on Saturday, September 30 and Sunday, October 1 at the Sports Unit, from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Those who need it have access to general medical consultation, as well as to specialists in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine; dental consultation, mammography studies; screening for HIV, syphilis and hepatitis C; prostate antigen detection; and preventive talks for different diseases, among many other medical services.
Attending the inauguration were Lic. Jorge Eduardo Sisniega Fernández, administrative director of SESVER; Mayor José Manuel Pozos Castro; Pamela Morales Huesca, president of DIF Tuxpan; Councilor Lucero Reséndis Ambrocio, Commissioner for Social Development; councilor Axel Bernal Herrera, commissioner of Health and Public Assistance and Luis Demetrio López Marín.
Likewise, Dr. Cuauhtémoc Pérez Juárez, head of Sanitary Jurisdiction No. 2 in Tuxpan and Dr. Meynardo Maldonado Méndez, general secretary of Section 26 Northern Zone of the National Union of Workers of the Ministry of Health (SNTSA).
During the event, the authorities provided functional and mobility devices such as wheelchairs, crutches, walkers, and canes.
When speaking, Mayor José Manuel Pozos Castro said that through health days the population is served with free medical services that improve the quality of life and well-being of people.
“The Ministry of Health and SESVER have made more than 25 services and mobile units of Mammography, Dental, Ultrasound and Laboratory available to Tuxpeña families. This is a great opportunity for women to participate in the programs of prevent Breast Cancer and Cervical Cancer,” he said. .
He emphasized that, “by bringing health services closer to the population, under the criteria of equity, inclusion and gender equality, we manage to shorten the inequality gap, which was not possible before.”
In that sense, he recalled that the Government of Tuxpan and the Health Services of Veracruz rehabilitate health centers in many municipal communities: “We will continue with that program, because we cannot neglect the health of the inhabitants. Actions are “What we call real change that benefits everyone. We must always remember that a healthy community is a strong community.”
Pozos Castro recognized Governor Cuitláhuac García Jiménez “because in just 5 years he achieved a historic change in the Health Services of the state, for which the people of Tuxpan sent him greetings and recognition, ” he said.
In the same way, he thanked all the health personnel working today: “thank you for this effort to serve the citizens of Tuxpan.”
For his part, the administrative director of SESVER, Mr. Jorge Eduardo Sisniega Fernández, encouraged the population to take care of themselves on this day that gives them the opportunity to identify and prevent various diseases, without charge.
He indicated that the Ministry of Health is working with the example of the governor, who ordered them to go door to door to find out the needs of the citizens, “so now we are here fulfilling them,” he said.
He thanked the government of Tuxpan and Mayor Pozos Castro for working effectively and collaborating to make these sessions possible.
