Within the framework of the celebrations of the 213th anniversary of the May Revolution, the Cultural Institute of the Province presents the concert “La Patria Canta”, which will take place on May 24 at 8:00 pm in the Alberto Ginestara Hall of the Provincial. Center of the Arts Teatro Argentino (Avenida 51 between 9 and 10).
The event will feature participation from Teresa Parodi, Nahuel Penici, Ligia Pirro, Ivonne Guzmán, Ariel Pucheta and Javi Caminos. The Camarata Academica del Teatro Argentino and Otra Ronda-Mujeres Cantoras will also take part in the concert, which will be directed and arranged by Poppy Spatocco.
The invited musicians will be Xaquiel Mantega (piano), Sebastian Henriquez (guitar), Pablo Menetti (bandoneon), Matias Furio (percussion) and Ricardo Canepa (bass). The artistes on stage will perform a selection of iconic works from the popular songbook of our country, in symphonic format.
Free tickets, with online reservation, can be obtained from 10:00 on Tuesday, 23rd, through the links published on the web and on the social networks of the Cultural Institute of the Province of Buenos Aires and Teatro Argentina.
People over the age of 65 will have the opportunity to reserve tickets in person by visiting the Teatro Argentino box office and presenting their ID from 12:00 on Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24, through a quota of tickets allocated for this purpose. Will be an option. Until 18:00.
It should be noted that the event will take place in the Ginastera Hall, one of the most important in South America and which was reopened six years later as part of the recovery and general enhancement of the building. The re-use of Ginestara is accompanied by a large artistic season which includes a range of concerts, operas, ballets and an extensive programme. Currently, between the stalls and three levels of boxes and galleries, it is able to accommodate 1,780 spectators.
