Congress gives thermoses to Guanajuato workers as part of ‘Leave a Mark: 5 Commitments to the Environment’ program

Guanajuato.- State Congress gave thermos for coffee to its allies for which 96 thousand pesos were spent. This is as part of the ‘Leave a Mark: 5 Commitments to the Environment’ program through which an ‘ambassador’ has been appointed in each of the institutional areas, which will promote ecological habits.
According to the Director General of Administration, Juan Caudillo bought 200 Yeti brand thermoses that cost 480 pesos each. This included the labeling of the name of the associate and the shield of the legislature. He said the intention is that each associate has one, to avoid the use of PET or other materials.

During the event, Congress General Secretary Christian Cruz Villegas said that the use of the thermos would generate awareness about caring for the environment.

Cruz Villegas indicated that the five commitments assumed by Congress are: guaranteeing the availability of water and its sustainable management, as well as adopting urgent measures to combat climate change and its effects, guaranteeing sustainable consumption and production practices providing, building resilient infrastructure and fostering innovation, and access to safe, sustainable and modern energy for all.
A panel was held at the event with the participation of Tourism Secretary Juan José Álvarez Brunel and Environment Secretary María Isabel Ortiz Mantilla.
