The consumption of painkillers is increasing in the State, with Nolotil at the forefront

The consumption of painkillers is increasing in the State and represents approx 10% of prescription drugs according to the Medicines Observatory published this Tuesday by the Business Federation of Spanish Pharmacists (FEFE) with data provided by the Ministry of Health.

According to this observatory, Nolotil is the first product used by units in the entire pharmaceutical market as an analgesic and occupies the second position within antipyretics, drugs to reduce fever.

With respect to Nolotil, The observatory emphasizes that it is the most used despite the controversy about its safety that the Spanish Agency for Health Products (AEMPS) recently settled by concluding that the alleged danger of agranulocytosis (a serious condition that occurs when there are low numbers of granulocytes, a type of white blood cell) is very low in the range of one to ten cases per million.
