Governor Raúl Jalil led the inauguration of works on National Route No. 157, among them, the correction of the section called “Curva de la muerte” which is a historic request for road safety. The president was accompanied by the mayor of Recreo, Luis Polti and the head of the 11th district of the National Highways, René Aragón.
The road safety work includes correcting the route of two dangerous curves between kilometers 970 and 1009. Work is being done to build embankments and asphalt the road, eliminating the curves .
The Governor assured that “the correction of that route is a one-year request because of its danger to drivers. Now this is a fact that will provide more safety on the road for circulation. ”
Likewise, within the project of recovery and maintenance of Route 157 carried out by National Roads and the province, a two-kilometer stretch of urban paving was inaugurated between the entrance of Arcor and a service station. In that area, the concrete pavement was made with its corresponding horizontal demarcation.
It should be noted that the works carried out on Route 157 are part of a comprehensive project that includes intervention for the reconstruction, road widening and reconstruction of 115 kilometers of national routes 60 and 157.
On the other hand, within the framework of the paving plan, the Governor and Mayor Luis Polti inaugurated 25 blocks of urban paving in the neighborhood of Central Norte and San Martín de Recreo. This paving was done using provincial and municipal funds.
Along with the inaugurations were the Minister of Water, Energy and Environment, Lucas Zampieri; the national senator, Guillermo Andrada; the mayor of Icaño, Franco Carletta; provincial senator Pío Carletta; the president of CAMYEN, Susana Peralta, and other authorities.
