She powerful front system which is approaching the central-southern area of the country causing the Chilean Meteorological Directorate to issue two Alerts for the Metropolitan Region.
The first of these is for an event on Normal to Moderate rainfall in the foothills area (it will also rain in the Valley), an event that will start this Sunday afternoon until Sunday morning.
For this event it is estimated that more than 30 millimeters around San José de Maipo while the rain in Santiago leaves between 15 to 20 mm.

Thunderstorms possible
However, another DMC Weather Warning anxiety. Due to the synoptic conditions that this frontal system will leave, this Saturday may have electrical storms in the Metropolitan Region.
This notice applies to the foothills, without rejecting that the event may move to the valleys central areas with isolated rain and some sporadic lightning, where they can also occur region of Valparaíso and O’Higgins.
It should be noted that due to these two climate events, the National Disaster Prevention and Response Service (Senapred) ordered Preventive Early Warning for the Metropolitan Region.
