  • The president of Ferrovial, Rafael del Pino (right), and the group’s CEO, Ignacio Madridejos, met before the members of the group.

The government defended its case against the Railways after it announced the transfer of its tax residence to Belgium. A reaction that threatens one of the company’s biggest projects in Spain: 20 subsidies for flying vehicles. The group made a condition that 5,000 million of European funds were donated.

After learning that the company’s plan was led by Rafael del Pino, there was an executive attack, including public statements by the president, Pedro Sánchez, in which he accused the company of being against the national interest by accusing “the country not only to inherit, but to help the country.”

It is only to reduce the pressure, they continue to run away from Moncloa to try to revoke the firm’s policy, and consider applying the so-called ‘anti-opa shield’.

On Monday, President Teresa Ribera declared this in an interview with Cadena SER, where she explained that the Government is analyzing whether express authorization is required from the Council of Ministers, or whether the decision can be made without any questions. to another city.

    20 helipads flying taxis

As if this were not enough, as Digital Confidential has learned from sources in the country, the government’s reaction against the Railway puts the construction of 20 aids in Spain to fly vehicles at risk with an investment of 5000 million.

The government reveals the “hidden unemployment” of 443,078 workers.
    Unemployment is over 15.6%

They claim that the company’s airport division has begun developing the infrastructure in Spain, which will use the future of flying taxis for vertical takeoff and landing tasks.

These are infrastructures for vertical takeoff and takeoff (eVTOL) aircraft, known as air taxis. In particular, it aims to design, construct and operate the supply of facilities necessary to operate the electric generator with which different urban points are connected throughout the country.

Aerotaxi is designed to replace the car in urban and interurban journeys, saving less time in the atmosphere and time. Each of the heliports would be equipped with lots and electric charging points for these flying vehicles and also equipped with electric ground vehicles.

    An investment of 5,000 million

It should be noted that the company president Rafael del Pino requested 5,000 million European funds in Spain to develop this project. But he has already warned that the financial viability of the infrastructure is subject to public funding.

The money, although it comes from the EU, has been distributed by the Government, both directly to the companies through the various ministries, and to the autonomous communities and local administrations for their calling. For this reason the sound is now under the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism and Economic Transition.

Neither the executive nor the company declares what part of the 5,000 million whose leadership falls into the hands of the president of the company Rafael del Pino has been considered, paid and spent and what percentage should be paid. But they acknowledge that the level of execution is still low.

It should be noted that several ministers, especially from Unidas Podemos, have issued the means to exclude Ferrovial from public tenders – in the last five years it has obtained tenders in Spain for 1,300 million euros, or returning public subsidies in a similar way. BE AWARE

    Do not harm other companies

In Spain, European funds are linked to specific projects and leading companies offer themselves with partners. The railway is one of the companies that requested the most funds in Europe: 5,000 million in 37 projects. But it also participates as a partner in 24 more projects that raise another 8700 million.

However, despite the fact that several officials have shown their willingness to act promptly against the company Rafael del Pino requested, it does not seem easy to leave the company without money without leaving the project in the air and damaging all the companies that are involved. .

For deployment, Ferrovial Airport wants to have “the support of the most eVTOL developers in Europe, such as Airbus, Lilium and the Spanish firm Tecnalia”. Parallel also cooperates with the Spanish company DatActions, specialized in “big data”, to identify the best locations and evaluate user demand.

Regarding the project of the heliports, Ferrovial Aeropuertos has partnered with the multinational IDOM to create an infrastructure suitable for passengers flying electric vehicles. Also, plans to design suitable car parks for these flying vehicles, as well as for ground electric vehicles and battery recharging areas.

Ten turnstiles in the United States

This is not the first project that Ferrovial has developed. A framework agreement was signed several months ago for the development of the network, which consists of more than ten hubs in the United States of America. He also proposed the creation of a network of more than 25 of these aerodromes in Britain, where he already manages London’s Heathrow airport.

The Spanish company has already agreed with the German Lilies to cover strategic areas in the main cities of Florida. The latter developed a type of jet powered by electric motors capable of long-distance flight.

The Lily eVTOL taxi will have an air range of 185 miles (almost 300 kilometers) and a top speed of 297 kilometers per hour. The vehicle will have four passenger seats in addition to the pilot.

The railroad, for its part, is a manufacturer and operator of airport infrastructure. He also sees business opportunity in the urban areas of air traffic in the near future.

They chose the Palms airport as the first location, the remaining terminals are in Miami, the Keys, the city of Fort Myers and Tampa, Orlando and Melbourne are contemplated.

The business plan contemplates that most Florida residents will live 30 minutes or less from the Rail and Lilly hubs. In addition, the 140 million annual visitors to the state will have the best available speed to travel to their destinations. Works on this first shuttle would take about 36 months.
