Volkswagen has launched its much awaited sedan Volkswagen Virtus in the Indian market. Its starting price is Rs 11.21 lakh. The company has started pre-booking with the launch. Customers can book it with a token of Rs 11,000. It can be booked online or by visiting the seller. In the Indian market it will compete with cars like Honda City and Hyundai Verna. You can buy this car on Comfortline, Highline, Topline and GT Line.

    • The Comfortline 1.0 MT is priced at Rs 11.22 lakh
    • Highline 1.0 MT is priced at Rs 12.98 lakh
    • Highline 1.0 AT is priced at Rs 14.27 lakh
    • Topline 1.0 MT is priced at Rs 14.42 lakh
    • Topline 1.0 AT is priced at Rs 15.72 lakh
    • GT Line 1.5 DCT is priced at Rs 17.92 lakh

Volkswagen Vertus engine
It will get 1.0L TSI and 1.5L TSI EVO engine options. The 1.0L TSI engine will be a 999cc 3-cylinder engine and the 1.5L TSI EVO engine will be a 1498cc 4-cylinder engine. The Volkswagen Vertus will have the option of 6-speed manual transmission, 6-speed automatic transmission and 7-speed DSG transmission. The sedan is available in 6 variants – Comfortline 1.0 MT, Highline 1.0 MT, Highline 1.0 AT, Topline 1.0 MT, Topline 1.0 AT and GT 1.5 DCT. It will be available in 6 exterior color options like Reflex Silver, Wild Cherry Red, Candy White, Curcuma Yellow, Rising Blue Metallic and Carbon Steel Gerry.

Features of Volkswagen Vertus
It has a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Features: Wireless Mobile Charging, Volkswagen Connect 2.0 (Connected Car Tech), Automatic AC, Cruise Control, Front Ventilated Leather Seat, Multi-Functional Steering Wheel, Digital Instrument Console, 6 Airbag (LED), ELIC, LED Features include headlamps, split LED tail-lamps, 3 headrests in the back seat and a reversing camera.

The longest in its segment
This medium sized sedan comes with a sharp look. This is in line with the automaker’s philosophy of contemporary design. It has integrated LED daytime running light with sharp looking LED projector headlamps, smooth front grille with glossy chrome lining. The bumper gets black mesh and chrome accents. Vertus has a length of 4,561 mm, a width of 1,752 mm and a wheelbase of 2,651 mm. Volkswagen claims that the all-new Vertus sedan is the largest in its segment. It is available in two different trims – Dynamic Line and Performance Line.
