Lamas Boulevard in Los Tex was the perfect setting for the curtain raiser to Guacaipuro to inaugurate the ninth edition of the Los Tex 2022 theater festival, Capital on Stage, this Friday.
Albero Delgado, president of the Somos Guacaipuro Foundation, was present at the opening, highlighting the opportunity that people from different areas of the municipality would have to enjoy the plays.
“It is the first time, in nine years, that the festival will visit all parishes and educational institutions. It is a show that belongs to all residents of the municipality and for this reason we will take it to all of them. We will bring culture to Guacaipuro are taking in every corner of the U.S.” Delgado said.
Gabriela Simoza, Culture Secretary of the Miranda State Government, on her part, expressed her satisfaction at attending the opening ceremony of the country’s second most important theater festival.
“With great enthusiasm we are attending the inauguration of this important festival that, once again, raises the curtain for the enjoyment of all the inhabitants of the municipality of Guacaipuro. “We congratulate Mayor Farith Fryeza for his great work in bringing art as a tool to raise awareness throughout the region,” said Simoja.
The laughter and applause did not wait for the arrival of the giant puppets from the state of Mérida, with the presentation of the play “Los gran amores de Bolivar y Miranda”. It is worth noting that these puppets are unique as there are no other puppets in the world that have similar characteristics.
This Friday, the audience also enjoyed the presentation of another play, “El jefe de todo esto”, staged by the Metafora Teatro group.
