MADSON, Wis. ( Associated Press) — The man who bought an AR-15-style rifle for Kyle Rittenhouse pleaded no contest Monday for a reduced fee of contributing to a minor’s felony in a deal with prosecutors who allows him to escape from prison.
Kenosha County Circuit Judge Bruce Schroeder accepted Dominic Black’s plea during a six-minute hearing. Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger dropped two felony counts of intent to deliver a dangerous weapon to a minor as part of the deal.
Contributing to the minor crime is a crime that may sentenced to prison for nine months, but Bingr slashed the charges for non-criminal county ordinance violations. Under the deal, Black will pay a $2,000 fine. Each felony count is punishable by up to six years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

Black’s attorney, Tony Cotton, said nothing but to confirm the deal. He said in an email to the Associated Press after the hearing that “justice had been done.”
“The district attorney’s office did the right thing by agreeing to dismiss the felony charges against our client, especially noting that the jury found Rittenhouse not guilty,” Cotton said.
