And this iconic James Cameron film will never have the participation of Arnold Schwarzenegger, and the actor has some doubts when it comes to agreeing to participate in this film, one of movies most acclaimed science fiction films of all time.
One of the reasons why Schwarzenegger decided to play a robot on license Terminator and will not, for example, accept another role in the same film, this is a film that marked him before, and which is one of his favorites.
However, Schwarzenegger recently talked about some of his favorite movies of all time, and surprisingly he named one that you might not know and we’re talking about Westworld or “metal ones soul” in Spain.
This is a 1973 film, directed by Michael Crichton, in a plot set in the future, where a modern amusement park offers the possibility that all visitors live extreme adventures.
And within these extreme adventures, a lot of blame falls on the robots who, due to an accident, end up rising up against humans.
“It had the most profound effect on me, which made me very interested in playing the Terminator. Because Yul Brynner plays a machine that doesn’t work properly and it’s a very well-made film, a very well-written movie,” he commented.
“And you don’t know, at all, that he’s a machine until there are certain movements when things start to go wrong that he does, and it’s better. Suddenly you realize: ‘Wait a minute, it’s a machine.’ And then when you see them working on it at night, struggling and fixing it, then you realize it’s a machine,” he said.
“He did it so well that I learned from it when I did Terminator. I watched that movie; I remember it well and then watched it again many times. Because it’s like no one has played a machine better than Yul Brynner. And it’s a great story too,” he concluded.
