The municipal chamber of La Cañada de Urdaneta in the state of Zulia has a new directive for the 2023 legislative term.
The renewal of legislative officers took place on the morning of Tuesday, January 3, in an extraordinary session in the meeting room, where Mayor Nidia Gutierrez de Atencio participated.
In this new phase of local legislative power, Councilor Ricardo Atencio of the Primero Justicia faction succeeded Ángel Fernández (UNT) as president.
Likewise, the first vice presidency consists of councilor Dairne Gutiérrez of the Accion Democratica (AD) party, and the second presidency elects mayor Víctor Méndez.
Following the formation of the new Board of Directors of the Municipal Chamber of La Canada, the mayor, Nidia Gutiérrez de Atencio, focused her message in the new legislative year on strengthening democratic unity.
The local president said, “The new Municipal Chamber begins a new phase full of unity and hope to bring all of our communities.”
“After a tough year 2022, overcoming so many hurdles with a low budget, where we have come out so strong after doing so much with so little, it is time for us to feel united and show our commitments to all of them. Who have put their trust in us,” she insisted.
Likewise, Nidia Gutiérrez de Atencio was confident of recovering La Canada de Urdaneta in 2023 with effort and work in this new cycle.
“My congratulations to Councilors Ricardo Atencio, Dare Gutierrez and Victor Mendez for being part of the legislative head of the municipality,” explained the mayor.
