The national government, this Friday, handed over a total of 2,020 agricultural or land ownership to farmers from 12 jurisdictions in Barinas state.
The event was held in the Francisco de Miranda Urbanization Peace Zone, Ramón Ignacio Mendez Parish, Capital Municipality, and was led by the Minister of Agriculture, Wilmar Castro Soteldo; Communes and Social Movements, Jorge Areza; as well as the president of the National Land Institute, David Hernandez and Mayor Rafael Paredes.
Its purpose was to grant land ownership and legitimacy to the peasants and to guarantee productive ownership.
Minister Soteldo pointed out that with the distribution of agricultural titles for 33,854 hectares, 2,425 families were benefited, following measures issued by President Nicolas Maduro, as part of a framework for the socialization of land to promote small-scale production. within. and higher yields. ,

Jorge Arreza, Minister of Manpower for Communes and Social Movements, recognized the work of all the farmers of Barinas who, regardless of the circumstances, strengthened the productive economy.
