Guided by a combined attack of four players who scored more than 12 points each, national volleyball team Puerto Rico closed its participation in TODAY Pan American Cup It is being played in Canada with a win over Mexico which assured them of a fifth overall place finish of the tournament.
Puerto Rican’s victory over Mexico was 3–1 in the end. The result of partial examination was 24-24, 25-27, 25-23 and 25-19.
The national team, which was using the tournament as a preparatory exercise for the World Volleyball Championship to be played at the end of the month, was playing in the tournament with a score of 4–2. They beat Brazil and Mexico twice. It was only defeated by Canada in the stage round and against the United States in the second round of the tournament.
Today, Sunday, Pedro Molina led the scoring with 16 points, 14 of which were on offense. Meanwhile, Klyston Lawrence added 15 points with 13 strikes and two blocks. Antonio Elias, who completed the scorer’s quartet in double digits, was with 13 points, three of them through blocks, and Pellegrín Vargas with 12 points, three of them through direct services.
Puerto Rico finished fifth in the Pan Am Cup after defeating Mexico 3–1 (26–24, 25–27, 25–23, 25–19).

Arturo Iglesias and Denis del Valle made 13 and 12 assists, respectively.
The national team took the Pan American Cup in preparation for the World Championship, which begins at the end of the month between the venues of Poland and Slovenia. This is the third tournament of the national team led by Ossi Antoinetti this year.
