Madrid 26 May (EUROPE PRESS) –

The Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, emphasized this Friday in Amsterdam that he has not yet made a firm decision about the possible deployment of the F-16 fighter to the Ukrainian armed forces.

Rutte insisted in a press conference that all the United States should first approve the approval for the F-16s countries to send them to third parties, according to the US network CNN.

However, the Dutch Prime Minister emphasized that the Netherlands, together with the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, are the leading countries when it comes to developing training programs for Ukrainian pilots in the administration.

So Rutte wanted to point out the differences between Ukraine’s military program and the fact that it directly provides these Western combat aircraft to Kyiv.

Ukrainian authorities, including President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, have mentioned in recent weeks the importance of supplying the United Nations’ army with combat aircraft to also counter Russia from the air.

While most countries seem unwilling to send fighters, they are open to Ukrainian pilots flying fighter jets to the West. The United States was one that paved the way, and many others followed.

Despite everything, Ukraine has the full support of Poland and Slovakia, which have sent their Soviet-made MiG-29 fighters. Although Kyiv has recognized the efforts of Warsaw and Bratislava, it prefers to have more modern and powerful F-16s.
