Hyundai is introducing the facelift (update) of the Grand I10 in the country, available in sedan and hatchback variants, a model that has sold more than 60,000 units since its launch and is now expected to sell 5,000 units per year.

Undoubtedly, both versions stand out for their level of safety in this segment, being equipped as standard with six airbags, Isofix anchorage, ABS + EBD brakes, stability control, hill start assist, programmed body deformation, 3-point seat belts and child safety locks on the rear doors.

This variant is undoubtedly the best known and since its launch in 2008 with the first generation, it has been one of the models favored by the public. In 2013 the second generation landed in our territory, which lasted until 2019, and in 2020 it renewed its lines with the third generation.

Now Hyundai is attacking with a renewal of this third generation that underlines and raises its standards in safety and features.

Its exterior has been renovated with a more avant-garde appearance that combines style and functionality. This variant does not neglect its essence with a youthful look, with a front grille painted black depending on the version and DRL lights. In the rear, it is distinguished by the installation of new combined LED lights, an aerodynamic protrusion in the roof and a coefficient of friction of 0.34.

This variant features a 1.0-litre Multipoint Injection (MPI) engine capable of producing 65 hp at 5,500 rpm and 94 Nm at 3,500 rpm and mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

They have a 1.2 liter engine, also with multipoint injection, that achieves 82 hp at 6,000 rpm and 114 Nm of maximum torque at 4,000 rpm. As a novelty, the Plus version has a five-speed manual and a four-speed automatic, while the design is exclusively controlled by a 5-speed manual.

The Plus variants additionally have a height-adjustable driver’s seat, a 9-inch screen with connectivity to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 14-inch spare wheel, two-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels and a two-tone exterior body.

The top-of-the-line version, which Hyundai Design calls, has a light sensor, electric and heated rear-view mirror adjustment, power-folding door mirrors, a power button, front-projection lights, LED daylight, chrome-plated handles, a gloss black grille and a foil leather steering wheel integrated into the rear-view mirrors Display, camera and recoil sensors.

The sedan, in turn, gets a more elegant and attractive appearance, especially at the front, with distinctive LED daytime running lights, depending on the version, a coefficient of friction of 0.31, and at the rear with a wider and more robust bumper.
