The Governor of Risaralda, Victor Manuel Tamayo Vargas, appointed Luis Alberto Duque Hernández as the new Minister of Agricultural Development, who from today will continue the implementation of the development plan with regard to its rural and agricultural references.
The new head of agricultural development is a business economist and specialist in strategic planning and management as well as project manager and structurer. As an official in the department he currently heads, he has an extensive career in managing key processes, which is why he is well versed in both the Secretariat and the needs of Risaralda’s agricultural sector.
“First of all, I would like to thank God and the governor for the trust because this is a secretariat that has become very important and recognized at the departmental level. “The governor has made huge investments in the agricultural sector and committed national resources,” acknowledged the new Minister of Agricultural Development.
Luis Duque added: “There are still many projects that are still underway and we must complete, deliver and manage them in the best possible way to enable a great connection process and so that the next government can have an Agricultural Development Secretariat with many achievements .” and growth. The main thing is that the producers and the associations are very happy with all these investments that the governor has made.”
Finally, the Minister of Agricultural Development of Risaralda reiterated the departmental administration’s commitment to “all fronts of the production chain; From providing inputs for harvesting and cultivation to supporting knowledge transfer in post-harvest processes with internationally recognized experts and in marketing issues with the Made in Risaralda strategy.”
