The Ngada Regency Government promotes local products through the Wolobobo Ngada Festival

BAJAWA (ANTARA) – The Government of Ngada Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf), are promoting the potential of coffee, weaving and bamboo at the Wolobobo Ngada Festival which will run until September 24. , 2022.

“The 2022 Wolobobo Ngada Festival picks up three main themes, namely coffee, weaving and bamboo. We enhance the potential of the region in the tourism sector, of course, to improve the economy of Ngada Regency,” said Ngada Regent Andreas Paru Told. He explained that the three themes raised were to present Nagada as a region with natural and cultural wealth which has long been a regional identity.

On that basis, the Ngada Regency government, he said, wants to make the Wolobobo Ngada Festival a part of the Charisma Event Nusantara 2022 and have an economic impact on the community.

Andreas said that the festival is a place of inspiration and creativity for the community as it is also full of carnivals of traditional clothing and regional dances. In addition, this tourism festival seeks to encourage Nagada to become an innovative tourism sector, which can adapt to the times and encourage the spirit of collaboration between the elements of society, institutions and communities.

“Coffee, weaving and bamboo have brought Nagda’s name nationally and internationally, and strives to become one. branding For Nagada,” he said.

Wolobobo Ngada Festival is taking place from September 14, 2022 which is full Volobobo Culture Camp, Volobobo Mountain Walk on September 15, 2022, and Nagada Culture Walk On 16 September 2022.
