If you want to know when you should watch The Nun 2 online, we’ll tell you all the details we know today. Long live terror!
Many people are wondering when we will see The Nun 2 online. For those who want to catch up before watching the latest film in the New Line Cinema saga distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, the first part is now available on HBO Max. Set in the Warren Files universe, the horror sequel is directed by Michael Chaves and stars Taissa Farmiga, Jonas Blockt and Storm Reid.
Possible online release date for the sequel
Despite its cinematic success Evil Dead Rise was available to stream on HBO Max 63 days after its premiere, on June 23rd. Does this also apply to “The Nun 2”? Other successful horror films such as M3GAN and Scream VI (with different distributors) had a shorter broadcast time. The films were streamed 49 and 46 days after the premiere, respectively.
What does this all mean for The Nun 2? Well, the streaming is expected to take place in the next two months. After premiering on September 8th, the sequel could arrive on the streaming platform on November 7th. That would be 60 days after the premiere. If collection goes well in the coming weeks, this date could be pushed back by around 10 days to November 17th. There’s also a possibility that Warner decides to make marketing moves to release the film before Halloween and stream it on HBO Max in late October. But that would be quite a surprise given current trends. It definitely works…It would work like a charm on Halloween!
The success of the second part at the box office
“The Nun 2” is a strange success. The film grossed $88 million in theaters worldwide on its opening weekend.. Of that, $32.6 million came from the domestic box office, surpassing films like “The Equalizer 3” and “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3” over the weekend. Time at the cinema.
“The Nun 2” is the second Warner Bros. horror film to be released this year. In April, New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. Pictures released “Evil Dead Rise,” the fifth installment in the series. “Evil Dead Rise” didn’t get off to as good a start at the box office as this one, only grossing $24.5 million in its opening weekend. However, it ended up raising $146.7 million. A significant number considering the budget of 15 to 19 million dollars.
