This morning, CHV host Jean Philippe Creton worried his followers after uploading a story on his Instagram from a medical facility. In the record you can see the face of the television wearing a clinical gown, with the comment “I have to go in for treatment hahaha.”
To the calm of his fans, “Jeanphi” quickly came out to explain his health condition: “Hey, thanks for the good vibes and concern,” he began by saying.
“What happened was that after the 18th I thought I had a cold and I started to treat it like a cold, but after a while it started to get worse, worse, worse ,” the reporter said.
“My two ears were closed two days ago so I heard as if I was under water and the pain started here (point to his ear) which went down here (point to his neck) and here (head), that’s why I can’t sleep. because It hurts on both sides,” the musician continued to explain.
Jean Philippe’s diagnosis? Acute otitis. “Just take all possible drugs,” concluded the entertainer. These types of infections usually occur when a cold is neglected or untreated.
“Acute otitis media is a recurring infectious complication of the common cold. This is due to the accumulation of fluids or purulent secretion in the middle ear, due to the change in its ventilation. This liquid is easily infected by some bacteria or viruses,” explained Dr. Rodrigo Cabezón, otorhinolaryngologist at the Clínica Universidad de los Andes.
The same health professional points out that acute otitis media is more than a simple cold and, if not properly treated, can lead to permanent hearing damage.
Creton did not comment on whether or not he will host the new episode of Podemos Hablar today, the stellar CHV conversation program he hosts.
