Tata Motors is set to launch its micro SUV Tata Punch in the Indian market on October 18. It will be the company’s smallest SUV. The company has already launched its look and features. The Tata Punch can be an affordable SUV. This will be for buyers who want the features and appearance of a low budget SUV. Many media reports are claiming that the price of an SUV can range from Rs 5.5 lakh to Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom). At this price, Tata Punch is going to compete with cars like Maruti Ignis, Mahindra KUV100, Nissan Magnite and Renault Keeger.

It is the safest car in the country. It received a 5 star rating in the Global NCAP Crash Test. Not only that, it has surpassed all other vehicles in India in total points. It scored 16.45 out of 17 points in the adult safety rating. Similarly, in terms of child safety, this SUV scored 40.89 points out of 49. It is powered by a 1.2-liter Revotron petrol engine similar to the Tata Ultroz. It generates 86PS of power and 113Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox. The company claims, it accelerates from 0 to 60km / h in 6.5 seconds and takes 16 seconds to reach 100km / h.
