The Rig-Bertos duo showcases their violin and cello music at the Sala Eutherpe in Lyon this Friday

The Utherpe Hall of the Leoni Foundation of the same name will host a classical music concert this Friday, December 9, by the Rig-Bertos Duo, composed of both violinist Quico Miró Rig and cellist Beatriz Serrano Bertos. from Alicante.

Appointments will take place from 7:30 pm and as always at a donation price of 5 Euros, with which the organization covers part of the expenses for the artists such as accommodation and room expenses such as heating, piano tuning, cleaning or events.

Quico Miró is from Rig IB, Alicante. He studied under various mentors in his province and in Murcia with professors Arpad Babarzi, Unnur Palsdottir, Vicente Anton and Joaquín Palomares. Thereafter, she completed her master’s degree in acting at the North Carolina School of the Arts, USA, under the guidance of Kevin Lawrence. To complete his training, he attended various courses in the US, France, Italy and Austria, where he received master’s degrees from Gérard Paulet, Esther Hafner, Lawrence Dutton, Philipp Sezer, Enner Bylsma, Dimitri Sitkovetsky, Marcy Rosen and Erik Larsen. Received class.

He performs as a soloist with the Ruperto Chapi Chamber Orchestra, the Valencia Youth Orchestra and the Alicante Symphony Orchestra. He also collaborates with the Murcia Symphony Orchestra, the City of Elche Symphony Orchestra and the Valencia Symphony Orchestra. However, he finds his voice best suited for chamber music repertoire, giving concerts with composers such as Emilio Fenoy, Jesús M. Gómez, Maria Mircheva, Paco Ricotte or Richard Bishop.

In 2019 she created Reinterpret, an interdisciplinary show that combines words, dance, photography and music. Besides composing the music for the show, Quico coordinates the various arts that come together in it.

He continues his training by taking courses in music direction as well as delving into historical interpretation and pursuing a master’s degree in music research. Currently, he combines his work as a teacher at the Professional Music Conservatory of Elche with the musical direction and musical interpretation of choral Ibens.

For her part, Beatriz Serrano Bertos is a native of Elche, where she began her cello studies. He completed his higher education in Alicante, with Francisco Pastor and in The Hague (Netherlands) with Marianne van Staelen. Later, he expanded his training with María Macedo and Mark Friedhoff.

He has been a member of the Youth Orchestra of the Generalitat Valenciana and the National Youth Orchestra of the Netherlands. He has collaborated with the City of Elche Orchestra, Alicante Symphony Orchestra, Burgos Symphony Orchestra and the City of Salamanca Orchestra.

He participates in theatrical productions, such as the representation of “Niebla”, by Miguel de Unamuno, in the version of José Antonio Sayagües, and “Apassionadas” with the actress Nuria Gallache.

Beatriz develops an intense chamber music activity, forming part of a duo with Cordovan pianist Miguel Ángel Caro, he is also a founding member of the Atlas Duo (cello and guitar). With them he has performed on several stages in Spain, the Netherlands and France. Beatriz Elche combines various artistic projects with her teaching work at the Professional Conservatory of Music.
