-What provoked you to see this moment in him?
– It hurts, because I know what he gives to football, how professional he is, how he trains, how defeats hurt him. But I know he will repeat it. In these moments, a football player feels it. I don’t think he deserves it this time because I know how he sacrificed himself and how he experienced the games. He was a player who killed himself on the field. From there to things that cannot be done, another issue, because it is a matter of moments. I’m sure ‘Nico’ will improve and this will be missed. Sometimes you get bad ones, but at some point they end.
– Do you think the criticism you receive is too much?
– Yes, of course. I watch a lot of football and I like to see my friends and former teammates and what happened to Copiapó is not good. ‘Nico’ is one of the forwards who try to create results, dangerous, one of the most running and wants to go forward, helping the team. For both games, criticism rained down on you, because people stuck with that, but it caused a lot of damage.
– Do you trust that the situation will turn around?
– One hundred percent, because he is a professional person. For me it was a bad streak and I have no doubts and I know that this moment will come back. You can have one great game, but two games will hurt you and cost you a game. Unfortunately, because ‘Nico’ always fights. I will keep those things.
