“We are responding to the call for disruptive action from Climate Rage Week, which aims to put forward a radical, anti-oppressive, anti-colonial, and anti-capitalist ecology,” said an activist in a press release.


The group says it inflates the car’s tires by inserting a valve lens, causing the tire to have no permanent damage to it. The collective also left “violation reports” to criticize “driving a car that emits too much CO.2 endangering human, animal and plant life.
“The culture of the tank is deeply rooted in our society, even if it destroys lives. We must fight,” explains the press release, which is not signed. On its Facebook page, the Climate Rage group is described which is an anti-capitalist and environmentalist coalition.
Ongoing investigation
The Montreal City Police Service (SPVM) confirmed that they received a call around 7:30 a.m. about vandalism involving several vehicles in the Outremont sector.
“When the police arrived at the scene, they checked the area and found many vehicles that were victims of bad acts. The investigators of the site should take investigative steps to find the owners belong to the concerned vehicles,” explained public relations agent Caroline Chèvrefils.
According to the initial information, the wrongdoings were possibly committed during the night by a possible group of individuals with a social claim, and a note from the group concerned was left on the vehicles concerned, determining the police force.
No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
