The child actor, who played the ‘Irish little boy’ in Titanic, has revealed that he still makes money from the film after 25 years.

Reece Thompson, 30, appeared in the beloved film when he was just five years old, playing a third-class passenger who died with his mother when the Titanic collided with an iceberg.

In a scene in the film, the boy, his mother and sister were among several passengers waiting for the third class gates to open.

She started out as a child model when she was signed with a talent agent after winning a competition.

The agent gave Reece’s mother the choice of starring in a Patrol ad or appearing in a small role in Titanic.

‘ There have been times like this: “Oh, wow, that’s a $250 check.” This movie is 12 years old. It’s quite bizarre. But hopefully they keep playing it a lot because it means more money to me.
