The White House corrects Biden on the number of U.S. citizens staying in Afghanistan

The White House corrected President Joe Biden on Tuesday that 90% of Americans who were in Afghanistan and wanted to leave had been evacuated before the U.S. military left Afghanistan on August 30.

Biden made his speech for the first time since the withdrawal. In his speech at the White House, he said, “The bottom line: 90% of Afghan Americans who want to leave can leave.”
