There is no case of MU variant in India, we are keeping a close watch: Center

New Delhi: The central government has said that no case of MU type coronavirus has been detected in India so far by analyzing more than 51,000 samples. This new coronavirus form ‘Mu’ was first identified in Colombia in January. The World Health Organization has designated Mew strain of coronavirus as ‘interest’.

Dr Bal Balaram Varghese, director general of the Indian Council of Medical Research, said:

The WHO warns that the new M variant shows signs of potential resistance to the ticker. Based on the latest round of evaluations, B.1.621 was classified as a variant of interest0 August interest and labeled MU from WHO, the WHO said in a statement.

The bulletin further states that the Mew variant has a constellation of mutations that indicates potential resistance. The data of the virus evolution working group showed a decrease in the neutrality capacity of healthy and inoculated sera like beta variants.

Comments on MU Alternative, Dr. VK, Member (Health), Policy Commission. Paul said the government and health scientists are keeping a close eye on such interests.

He said that in order to fight against any covid variant, it is necessary to give a dose of vaccine and follow the proper treatment of covid.
