Maruti Suzuki Jimny
Maruti Suzuki will launch its offroad SUV Jimny next year. This car was first presented at the Auto Expo 2020. Since then everyone has been waiting for it to launch. Now comes the 5-door variant of the Jimny. It can compete directly with Mahindra Thar and Force Gurkha. Jimny will be cheaper than Mahindra Thar. This off-road car will be powered by a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder K15B petrol engine that will generate 101bhp of maximum power at 6,000rpm and 130Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. This engine is also coming in New Brezza, Ertiga and Ciaz. The car will get 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic option. The off-road SUV will underpin the ladder frame chassis and will come with Suzuki’s AllGrip Pro 4 wheel drive technology, 3-link rigid axle suspension and low range transfer gear. At the same time, its base variant could cost less than Rs 10 lakh.

Toyota RAV4
Toyota RAV4 SUV has been tested more than once in India. Although the company was silent about its India launch, the SUV could launch in 2023. The price of this car will be between 50 lakh to 60 lakh rupees. Based on the TNGA-K platform, the RAV4 can be offered with a 2.5L naturally aspirated Atkinson bicycle petrol engine and a 215bhp electric motor. There will be an 8-speed eCVT gearbox and three driving modes – Normal, Echo and Sport.
