President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has issued Presidential Directive (Inpres) No. 7 of 2022 regarding the use of battery-based electric motorized vehicles.electric vehicle/EV) as a vehicle for the Education Office of the Central Government and Local Government (Pemda).
Presidential Directive signed by President Jokowi on September 13, 2022 to accelerate the implementation of the program for the use of battery-based electric motor vehicles (battery electric vehicle/BEV) as operational service vehicles / personal vehicles for central and local government agencies.
The cost of an electric car is more expensive than a car with (fuel oil/BBM) because it is still in the transition period from fossil energy (BBM) to electric energy. Moreover, the infrastructure to recharge the batteries is equally not available.
The following is the lowest priced electric car price in the United States at an exchange rate of Rp 14,889 per US dollar:
Kia Niro EV: IDR 501.57 million
Hyundai Ioniq 5 SE SR RWD: Rp498.00 juta
Chevrolet Bolt EV: RP476.69 Juta
Nissan Leaf E+ SV (62 kWh): 460,01 Juta
Hyundai Kona Electric: RP412,48 Juta
Mazda MX-30: IDR 404.43 million
HYUNDAI IONIQ Electric: RP398,55 Juta
Nissan LEAF e+ S (62 kWh): Rp385.51 Juta
MINI Cooper SE: IDR 346.40 million
Nissan LEAF S (40 kWh): IDR 311.02 million
The program to accelerate the use of BEV motorized vehicles should be accompanied by provision of
infrastructure for Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLUs) so that people using electric vehicles feel comfortable.
According to the Ministry of Power and Mineral Resources, so far there are 332 SPKLU units in 279 public places. There are also 369 units of General Electric Vehicle Battery Exchange Station (SPBKLU) across Indonesia.
