Those who work in the public sector and have low replacement payments in their pensions will be eligible for the Post-Employment Bonus.
This benefit is provided MONTHLY and for life. Besides, not taxednor does it constitute compensation or income.
What requirements must be met to collect it?
Those workers who want to access this contribution must fulfill a series of requirementsnamely:
- Be a partner or partner in the mandatory individual capitalization system of a pension fund manager (AFP).
- Age can be 60 years for women and 65 years for men.
- Have more than 20 years of service, continuous or discontinuous, in any of the mentioned institutions.
- Be a regular employee, contracted or through the Labor Code, in one of these institutions at the time of requesting the bonus.
- Became an official in any of the aforementioned institutions before May 1, 1981 and have, at least, a tax in the old pension system.
- There is an estimated fluid replacement rate equal to or less than 55%.
- Termination of employment due to suspension of employment, voluntary resignation or receipt of old-age pension.
Who can claim this bonus?
According to information from the Superintendency of Pensions, the people who can request this benefit are those workers in the public sector and in the following State departments:
- Central government, regional governments and municipalities
- Legal Aid Corporations
- State universities
- Comptroller General of the Republic
- National Television Council
- Higher Education Council
- Director General of Civil Aeronautics
- FONADIS
- SERCOTEC
- CONAF
What is the amount of Post Employment Bonus?
The corresponding amounts of these currencies are available $90,877 for this 2023, those that must be requested from the higher headquarters of the service or organization where the applicant performs functions, within next 12 months upon reaching the legal age of pension.
