Tata Motors has set a record. The demand for company cars is huge. Tata Nexon, Safari, Punch are preferred by customers. In such a situation, the company is facing a challenge to meet their needs. According to new data, Tata Motors’ sales stood at 81,790 vehicles in July 2022. That’s a 51 percent year-over-year increase compared to 54,119 vehicles sold in July 2021.
The company saw sales growth in all segments of passenger, EV and commercial vehicles. Apart from an annual growth of 51 percent, it is also a MoM growth of 5.11 percent compared to 45,197 vehicles sold in June 2022.
Tata Motors’ vehicle sales in India rose 52 percent to 78,978 units in July 2022. This is an increase of 26,997 units compared to 51,981 vehicles sold in July 2021. Under these domestic sales, the company has grown by 57 percent in the passenger car segment in the domestic market. Sales of 30,187 vehicles in July 2021 increased to 47,505 vehicles in July 2022.
Tata Motors last month reported a 47 percent increase in ICE vehicle sales to 43,483 units from 29,581 units sold in July 2021. Tata’s electric passenger car lineup, which includes the Nexon and Tigor, sold 4,022 vehicles in July 2022, a growth of 566 percent. The company previously sold only 604 EV vehicles in July 2021. In July 2022, Tata Motors rolled out new features for existing Nexon EV customers with a software update on Nexon Prime.
Tata Motors broke many records in July 2022. Domestic passenger car sales growth this month was the highest in a month, rising 57 percent to 47,505 vehicles. Tata CNG vehicle sales also peaked at 5,293 vehicles in July 2022. Monthly sales of electric vehicles also hit an all-time high of 4,022 units.
