Suzuki Motorcycle India today announced the re-launch of two of its most famous sport bikes, the Gixar 250 and the SF250 due to technical glitches. The company has announced a voluntary review for this. Both of these bikes are very well known in the market as nude streetfighters and these two bikes have got the same problem.
According to the data, the engine of this bike has been found to have vibration problems. Due to which the company has recovered 199 of their units. These bikes will be inspected by the company free of cost and parts will be changed if necessary. In this revision, the company has included bikes built between 12 August 2019 and 2121.
What is the real reason:
It is said that the engine is facing vibration problems due to the balance in the drive gear of this bike. A statement posted by the Society of India Automobile Manufacturers Association (SIAM) on the Voluntary Review Information page of the company stated that the problem occurred because the balance did not match the supervisor identified for the drive gear. Due to which the balancer drive gear is creating more vibration in the engine.
This statement shared by the company further states that it will not affect the performance of the bike. However, due to the high vibration, the mounting of the tail light may break. Suzuki Motorcycle India will test and repair vehicles free of charge, for which no fee will be charged.
Both bikes use an oil-cooled engine with a 249 cc single-cylinder overhead cam single-cylinder. Which generates 26 bhp of powerful power and 22.2 Nm of torque. This engine comes with 6 speed gearbox. Both these bikes are very famous among the youth for their special nude color.
