Relatives of 239 residents have claimed the Malaysia Airlines plane 9 years after their mysterious disappearance.
The families of passengers on Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, which mysteriously went down nine years ago, called on Sunday to allow a new search for the missing plane.
The fate of flight MH370 became one of aviation’s biggest mysteries when it disappeared with 239 people on board en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on March 8, 2014.
In 2018, Malaysia hired Ocean Infinity to search the southern Indian Ocean for the plane, offering to pay up to $70 million if it found the plane. But his work failed.
The search for Infinity Ocean came after Malaysia, China and Australia ended an unsuccessful two-year, $135.36 million underwater search in January 2017.
On Sunday, Voice370 – a group related to the cruise line – said Ocean Infinity hoped to launch a new search this summer and urged the Malaysian government to accept any proposal from the company as a condition for it to happen. unless the matter had ceased.

“Infinity Ocean, over the past 12 months, has made real progress with many to better understand … the events of 2014,” Voice370 said in a statement, following a commemorative event to mark the ninth year since the death of MH370.

Ocean Infinity and the Malaysian Ministry of Transport did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
But in a message read to families at the memorial service, Transport Minister Anthony Loke vowed not to “close the book” on MH370, adding that future investigations would be considered if there was “new and credible information” about the possible location of the aircraft.
The wreckage of the MH370 aircraft washed up on the coast of Africa and in the Indian islands.
Malaysian investigators have not reached any conclusions about what happened on board the flight, but do not rule out the possibility that the plane was deliberately diverted from its route.
