Dora Angelica Contreras Moreno, 36, of Torreon, the woman who died Wednesday afternoon, was identified after being flagged with the number 35364 by a city Department of Public Safety patrol.

As reported at the time, the accident happened yesterday, Wednesday, around 2:00 p.m., at Diagonal de las Fuentes Boulevard and Fundadores Avenue in the Rincon La Merced neighborhood of Torreón.
According to the first reports and eyewitnesses, the police driver of the patrol car was speeding as he was going to a service on Diagonal de las Fuentes Boulevard and when he reached Fundadores Avenue, he hit a motorcycle in which a man and the now dead woman were traveling, later reached another motorcycle, on which the man and the minor were traveling, to continue their journey with the young woman’s body in the opposite direction under the patrol car and on the same boulevard were kept until the agent managed to apply the brakes.
With the help of several civilians, officers pulled the young woman out from under the police unit and first aid kit elements provided medical attention while they waited for Red Cross paramedics to arrive, who assisted the woman , who was transferred to the hospital. The general died on the way to the hospital.
The injured person and the minor were shifted to Medhavi Institute and later discharged, while the driver of the motorcycle on which the deceased was traveling was safe and made available to the competent authority.
