León, Gto., September 12, 2023.- The state’s governor, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, presented the “GTO Women’s Health Pass” with the aim of strengthening disease prevention and promoting a healthy lifestyle, with free and easily accessible support for Guanajuato women.

As Rodríguez Vallejo symbolically presented health passports to 46 women from the 46 municipalities of Guanajuato, he said: “You are NOT alone! You have the support of the state government!

Undisputed protagonists of the development and progress of our state,” said the governor, who was accompanied by the Secretary of Social and Human Development, Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo, and the Secretary of Health, Daniel Alberto Díaz Martínez.

“The only thing they need is support. That is why I asked Libia Dennise, as Minister of Social and Human Development, that we must do more for women. And what could be better than when a woman thinks about how she can support more women. And so the With You Always Woman strategy was born to support her income, her health and her education, as well as that of her daughters and sons,” he noted.

Support offers have already been made such as the “Apoyo MujerEs Grandeza” card, the “Kit With You and Your Baby”; and the homework clubs and greatness scholarships for young pregnant women or mothers who are studying.

With the “GTO Women’s Health Pass that applies to all stages of your life,” they can now receive 10 health services in the 632 units we have in the 46 communities, the governor added.

He explained that in a first phase, 40,000 passes of this type will be delivered, which will be available in the health centers of their communities from September 18 and until the first week of October.

The services or cards they receive are intended for consultations in the following areas: 1. Mental health; 2. Release of iron and folic acid; 3. Detection of sexually transmitted diseases; 4. Counseling pregnant women; 5. Oral health; 6. Disease detection; 7. Mammography; 8. Pap smear; 9. Nutritional status and 10. Sexual and reproductive health, the governor stressed.

The Minister of Health, Daniel Alberto Díaz Martínez, reiterated that with this program the State Government aims to strengthen disease prevention measures and promote a healthy lifestyle among women through the 632 health units in the 46 municipalities.

This program includes the completely free delivery of ID cards for the 10 health services already mentioned, as well as a mini folder for the safe storage and storage of the national health card.
